Obama's Scholarship Program for Parents - How to Apply For Free $10,000 Scholarships

If you have always wanted to be a college graduate but never thought you could afford to leave your job and take the classes that you needed, the United States Government may have the answer for you. Inserted in the stimulus bill is considerably more funding for the Pell Grants. These grants have been providing scholarship money to deserving Americans for quite some time.

The problem with the Pell Grant is that it just didn't keep up with the rising costs of higher education. Now, the money you may be awarded has been increased to up to $9,000.00 per school year. This money is yours to keep. You may use it for your books and tuition. The left over money may be used in any way that you think it would do the most good to help your family.

I would strongly recommend that you visit with the local college's financial aid office. These people are trained to help you may the decisions you need about college funding. In addition, there are often private grants and scholarships that schools have access too. You should see if you qualify for any of these other sources.

Once you know that you will have the money, decide on a course of study. Find the school that had the best program for you and get started. You can't go wrong by hitting the books again. You are never too old. But if you don't get going, there may be a longer wait to receive funding. Get your share of the financial scholarships for those working dads.
