Obama Promises Scholarships to Mothers Going Back to School

In what is sure to be the first of many moves by the Obama administration concerning education access, the Federal Pell Grants program is being increased by its maximum amount to nearly $10,000 per year for low-income mothers. This, along with the American Opportunity Tax Credit program, which guarantees the first $4000 of higher education is free, has paved the way for many working and single mothers to go back to school.

President Obama had promised during his campaign that change would come, and he's making good on that promise now. Mothers who would not have imagined a way to change their lives for better before are one step closer to achieving their dreams.

If you are a mother who has dreamt of going back to school to better your situation and the quality of your life, then now is the time to stop dreaming and start learning. The first step for anyone interested in the program is to fill out a FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) form. This can be done either by picking one up at the college of your choice, or by submitting one online for immediate consideration.

Don't let your current situation dictate your future, or the future of your children. You have the power to change. All you need is to fill out a FAFSA form and apply to a college. You can even get your degree online. It's all up to you now. Obama's Scholarship for Mother's Program is what you've been waiting for; don't wait a moment longer.
