Obama Pitches In For Back-To-School Moms Through Grants and Scholarships

In this job scarce market it seems that there may be a light at the end of the tunnel courtesy of President Obama. Stay-at-home and single moms looking to beef up their resumes by returning to school to gain new skills and maybe pursue a degree can give it serious consideration with these new incentives.

Whether in the form of grants, scholarships, student loans, or any of the other financial aid programs available, the possibility of having some or all of your educational pursuits paid for has been increased. Another added bonus is that the funds from these programs can also be applied towards distance and online learning. With all these programs available to help ease the burden of going back to school, why wouldn't anyone jump at the chance at self improvement?

Starting or continuing an education path in this financially unstable economy has its pros and cons. On the plus side is there is the knowledge that will be gained making you better skilled and more desirable to potential employers and the personal satisfaction of knowing that you fulfilled a life goal. The downside to be considered is the time away from your family, the lack of jobs currently available and even the possibility of funding not being enough to cover all school-related expenses. Even with all these things to evaluate, now seems to be the best time for moms to get in on these increased incentives so that they will be job ready when the economy bounces back.
